Tart Cherry Jello Cola Salad
- 1 can Oregon Red Tart Cherries, undrained
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 10 oz. Cola
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 large can crushed pineapple, undrained
- 2 (3oz) pkgs. Cherry Jell-O, unprepared
- 1/2 cup pecan halves, optional
In a saucepan, heat cherries with the liquid in the can, additional water and sugar for 2 minutes.
Add cola, chopped pecans and pineapple. In a large bowl, pour cherry mixture over jello and mix well. Place in a 2-qt. Pyrex dish and add pecan halves on top. Chill.
