We worked out a deal with NORPAC Foods to buy their cannery on 22nd Street SE, we were completely thrilled. Not just for our new modern facility, but for the opportunity to stay in Salem and keep our team. The Salem Urban Renewal Agency helped us financially; our mayor, Chuck Bennett, spoke at our ribbon cutting. We moved in back October 2018. It’s been wonderful!
Our old processing facility in Salem had grown organically since 1935, and while it got us where we are now, we finally couldn’t ignore its age. Too small. Too limiting. But it’s not like we could pick up and go anywhere. Salem, the Willamette Valley, Oregon—it’s who we are. So when we worked out a deal with NORPAC Foods to buy their cannery on Salem’s 22nd Street SE, we were completely thrilled. We moved back in October 2018. It’s been wonderful!
Best part of moving back in October 2018? Our new facility on 22nd St. SE doesn’t just let us stay in Salem. We’re refining our processes. Innovating new products. Streamlining our shipping and logistics. We’ve finally got room to expand, to add employees, to support our customers better. We’re still settling into our new home, but we couldn’t be happier. Growing up feels good.
