At Oregon Fruit, we believe we have a responsibility to be involved in our community and give back. We work with the Salem Keizer school district to help kids who are developmentally delayed learn life skills in our kitchens. We donate to Marion Polk Food Share Program and the Oregon Food Bank. We also support local missions and soup kitchens.
If you are interested in making a request for support, please email info@oregonfruit.com. Please note we ask for a minimum of 60 days advance notice for any charity request tied to an event.
Since 1935 Oregon Fruit has been active in the local community. We live, work, and raise our families here. We’re proud to support local businesses and build a strong economy. We’re also a member of the Oregon Economic Development Association (OEDA) a non-profit organization that works to support economic development professionals who are on the front lines diversifying and expanding Oregon’s economy.
We support our employees in good times and when life serves up the unexpected. Our employee emergency fund helps employees pay bills when times are tough. The fund is employee managed, and also allows employees to donate vacation to each other when needed. Our employees are never alone once they join the Oregon Fruit family.
We support our employees in their chosen causes and philanthropy. For this reason, Oregon Fruit will match employee donations (up to a certain amount annually per person) to approved not-for-profit endeavors that align with our values as a total organization, involvement of any company members or promote good corporate citizenship. We especially encourage donations to organizations focused on education, community improvement, children, animal welfare, medicine, and beautification.
