Half four whole cherries and set aside for topping the smoothie bowl.
In a high-speed blender, combine remaining cherries and juice, banana, ground chia seeds, and lime juice. Blend on low for 15 seconds; then increase speed and continue blending until pureed. Pour in almond milk and blend on high speed until mixture is creamy and thick.
Pour mixture into four bowls, and serve topped with reserved cherries and other toppings to your taste. Alternatively, refrigerate mixture overnight to thicken, and serve the next day.
