Spicy Dark Sweet Cherry BBQ Sauce

  • 1 15oz can of Oregon Fruit Dark Sweet Cherries
  • 1 small Onion, diced
  • 4 cloves of Garlic, diced
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Yellow Mustard
  • 3 dashes of Worcestershire
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt (to taste)
  • 1 tsp fresh cracked Pepper


  1. Mix all ingredients in a skillet or heavy bottom sauce pan over medium heat, stirring every few minutes. Once combined, simmer for 20-30 minutes on low heat.
  2. Add all ingredients to blender and purée. Put into air tight container to store in refrigerator for up to two weeks.
