A loving customer sent in this favorite Grape Pie recipe, and our warehouse manager
baked two of them. They disappeared so fast we were lucky that we saved the recipe!
2 cans Oregon Grapes, drained
2 crusts for a 9-inch pie
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup tapioca
1 cup whipping cream
- Prepare the crust for a two-crust, 9-inch pie. Drain the syrup from the cans of Grapes, and
pour the grapes into the bottom of the pie crust.
- Mix together tapioca, sugar and whipping cream, and pour mixture over the Grapes.
- Cover with the top crust, crimp edges, and make several slits in the top crust to vent.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Let cool
20-30 minutes for pie to set before serving.
