1 can Oregon Gooseberries (including syrup)
½ C brown sugar
1 T + 2 tsp cider vinegar
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground allspice
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground cloves
- Combine gooseberries, sugar, vinegar and salt in a saucepan.
- Simmer for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the spices during the last 10 minutes.
- The chutney may be packed in small sterile jars or stored in refrigerator.
