¾ C reserved syrup from Oregon Gooseberries
¼ C minced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 T lemon juice
2 T vegetable oil
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Dash of pepper
Combine all ingredients. Pour over meat; refrigerate; covered, 1 to 2 hours before cooking. Use as a marinade for pork, poultry or game. Makes about 1 and ¼ cups.
