Thought to originate in Turkey, the Thompson Seedless grapes are the most widely planted white table grape grown in America. The cultivar, named for the first person to cultivate them in America, is the same as Sultanina grown in Asia Minor. Valued for its seedless nature, this versatile grape is also grown for raisin production.
This variety of grape is mainly grown in California.
Thompson Grapes grow best in sunny climates with warm summers and mild winters.
Thompson Seedless Grapes are harvested in mid-to-late August.
